I’ve had the pleasure of doing a number of special pieces of artwork for the Minnesota Twins over the years including 1997 artwork for the rightfield “baggie” at the Metrodome, Dave Winfield’s 3000th hit in 1993 and numerous pieces for Twins Hall of Fame inductees.

In 2001 the club celebrated 40 years in Minny by commissioning this painting.

The Butte Copper Kings were a class A baseball team that played in the historic mining town of Butte, Montana. This was the best seat not at the ballpark. From this hill high above the 3rd baseline you could watch both the game and the brilliant sunset over the Rocky Mountains.

Wrigley Field in Chicago is a landmark. This two-panel painting was done shortly after the installation of lights but prior to the addition of more adverts and video boards in the outfield. This angle gives the viewer a sense for how intimate this park is

An evening game at Comiskey Park (1910-1990) on Chicago’s south side. When it was built in 1910 by Sox owner Charles Comiskey, it was billed as “The Baseball Palace of the World”. It’s my third and most recent painting on the former landmark at 35th street and Shields Avenue.

This painting is featured on the cover of “Sox and the City” a book by Chicago Sun-Times columnist and film critic Richard Roeper. This park and Fenway Park in Boston are two of my favorite old ballparks.

Venerable County Stadium painted here in the early 90’s. Bernie Brewer’s perch was in mothballs during this era. Fortunately, they still had the frozen custard and secret sauce.
