“Tribute” was the cover for the 1999 State Hockey Tourney program. It offered a bit of comfort and nostalgia for those hard core St. Paulites who saw the Tournament move to Minneapolis’ Target Center during the construction of the new XCEL Center.
My “all-tournament team” is set in the old St. Paul Civic Center Arena with its clear dasher boards. The clear boards were one of the most memorable aspects of the old Civic Center.
